Stroke Awareness Month - Time Matters

May is National Stroke Awareness Month and Fowler Davis, in partnership with TotalCom Marketing Communications, is honored to collaborate on this important initiative to raise awareness of strokes. Below are three of our whiteboard TV spots we were honored to produce for the Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Southeast Alabama Medical Center — a Certified Primary Stroke Center — has built the region’s largest stroke care network, ensuring patients have access to experienced stroke care in their community.

Just remember, you don’t need superpowers to be a hero when it comes to a stroke, you just need to pay attention to the risk factors and know the warning signs. Remember the most common stroke warning signs and what actions to take, learn F.A.S.T. If you see F-Face drooping, A-Arm weakness or S-Speech difficulty, it’s T-Time to call 911.

A stroke is largely preventable and treatable. The best way to beat a stroke before it damages your brain is to never have one – about 80 percent of strokes are preventable. The second best way to beat a stroke before it damages your brain is to identify one immediately when it occurs and call 911 right a way.
